The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the regulatory body for technical education in the country, has issued a warning to students regarding deceptive 10-day MBA crash courses. This caution comes in response to advertisements by a motivational speaker promoting a 10-day MBA program.
In an official notification, the AICTE stated, “It has been brought to the attention of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) that certain motivational speakers and influencers are promoting a 10-day MBA crash course. It is important to inform all stakeholders that such crash courses are an attempt to mislead the youth of the country.”
The notice emphasized that, in accordance with the Supreme Court’s judgment, institutions or universities must have AICTE clearance or approval to offer technical courses, including MBA or management courses leading to a postgraduate degree.
Highlighting the official nature of an MBA as a two-year postgraduate degree program aimed at providing advanced skills and knowledge in various business and management areas, the AICTE notice underscored that completing a comprehensive management program, such as an MBA, in just 10 days is not feasible.
The AICTE advised all stakeholders and students to exercise caution and not fall victim to misleading and inappropriate offers of 10-day MBA crash courses by individuals or organizations. The regulatory body emphasized the importance of being vigilant against fraudulent schemes and deceptive promotions.
