Large-Scale Appointment Letter Distribution
Under the guidance of KK Pathak, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, directives have been issued for the distribution of appointment letters. On January 13, an impressive 1.10 lakh teachers, recommended by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), will receive their appointment letters.
The grand ceremony will see Nitish Kumar personally delivering letters to 25 thousand teachers at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Simultaneously, designated ministers will confer appointment letters upon the remaining 85 thousand teachers at various district headquarters.
Bihar at the Forefront of Educational Staffing Initiatives
Bihar is on the verge of a significant achievement, positioning itself as the first state in the country to grant appointment letters to around 2.25 lakh newly appointed teachers within a span of three months, from November 2023 to January 2024.
The second phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment, conducted from December 7 to 15, yielded the selection of 1.10 lakh candidates out of the eight lakh participants.
Victory in the Inaugural Phase
This announcement follows the historic distribution of appointment letters to 1.12 lakh newly appointed teachers across Bihar on November 2, 2023.
The first phase of BPSC teacher recruitment involved the filling of 1,40,741 posts, with 1.12 lakh candidates successfully clearing the examination out of the staggering nine lakh participants.
